(Due to some error, yesterday’s email got cut off in between. This is the continuation from there)
There’s a saying: Man plans, God laughs. That’s been the story of my life. What… ever my beliefs about God, this truly has been the story of my relationship with technology.
After running Leviosa Consulting (my software company) for almost 7 years, I joined hands with Rakshith to start Gentle Bamboo – a Gamification-focused L&D company.
When we started, I swore I will not touch tech. We decided Gentle Bamboo will focus its energies entirely on research and advancement of Learning theories and practices.
Six months in, the Pandemic started and our best laid plans came crashing around. To manage online classes, I found PowerPoint woefully inadequate. We needed a great platform with some specific features. A platform that, unfortunately, no one had created yet. So, I decided to build it by myself. 🤦♂️
Thus, dextr.io was born and has proved to be our biggest differentiator in the training sessions we do. Some people saw it and asked for a license to use it. Slowly, Dextr.io became the first tech product of Gentle Bamboo Solutions.
In the last six months, I’ve developed three more tech-driven games and simulations – So Farm So Good, Race for Rockets and Exodus.
Every step of the way, I have wanted to do something else, but destiny has brought me straight back to technology.
I hate it. I love it. I want to run away from it. I keep running towards it. I have become good at it without ever meaning to be good at it. 👻
Que sera sera,
