The Weekly Recap

Hi,

As you know, I send daily emails. If you were busy and couldn’t read everything, I share this email every Sunday with quick summaries of what I have shared in the week. Time to catch up.

Oct 18 | " Sir, aap game ko seriously le rahe hain?" | "Sir, are you taking the game seriously?" asks a reporter to Kapil Dev. "You tell me," replies Kapil Dev. So ends another legendary and hilarious ad by CRED.

Oct 19 | A keyboard worth ₹28,000| My business partner just bought an Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad. Shoutout to N. There is no such thing as costly or cheap. Value is in the mind of the buyer. It’s not your purpose to convince people who don’t see your value. Your purpose is to find people who will.

Oct 20 | On Writer’s Block and Burnout | I’ve been facing such a writer’s block for a while now. You’ve probably seen tons of spelling and grammatical mistakes in my writing the last week. As long as the point is conveyed, I think it is acceptable to not try for perfection sometimes.

Oct 21 | The Queen’s Gambit | I heartily recommend both the series and the book. Take a break. Watch some fiction. You’ll love this. I guarantee. The series has it all. It makes chess (a somewhat dull sport if you don’t follow it) feel as exciting as cricket or football. It’s a short series, and well worth the watch.

Oct 22 | How one speech brought down the Ratner Group | He made a few jokes on one of his company’s products during a speech at a prestigious dinner. He thought he was being self-deprecating But the next day, their stock took a plunge, and almost immediately, the Ratner Group was worth £500 million less.

Oct 23 | Apple launches a new product at just ₹1900 | It’s a bloody piece of cloth to clean apple phone, tablet, and laptop screens. The product was sold out from their stores in 2 hours.

Regards,

Abhilash
