Want to learn how to think about and create engaging presentations? You’re in luck. I did a session recently where I built a presentation in front of my audience. Through the process, I talked them through it and showed them how I think.
“The enemy of art is the absence of limitations.” – Orson Welles
When we were building Dextr.io into a presentation tool, we took this quote to heart. The issue with tools like Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides is that they don’t direct you. They leave you free like a bumblebee in a field of flowers. While that feels great, it gives you no focus and too many choices.
So, in Dextr.io, our approach was to make lots of very restricted slide types. We’ve split them into 4 categories: Display slides, Interactive slides, Quiz, and Novelty.
Watch the video, and I will take you through these 4 categories and show you when to use which, and how you can bake in engagement and enjoyment into your training sessions.
