Hi,
Last week, I did a virtual training session in which there were 27 participants. During the entire session, not a single person unmuted their mic nor spoke a word. Due to bandwidth reasons, all their videos were turned off too. It felt like I was literally speaking to the wall in my room.
Repeatedly asking them questions, creating situations for them to express themselves, calling out people by their names and even showing a bit of irritation in the voice didn’t help.
Have you ever faced a situation this severe? How have you tackled it to get your participants talking in virtual sessions?
Waiting for your response,
Abhilash
