At Gentle Bamboo, we’re a collective of educators, facilitators, and designers who believe learning should be as real as it is playful. Our team brings together diverse experiences and shared curiosity to design programs that spark reflection, collaboration, and growth.
We are inspired by the Chinese Bamboo. For years it grows underground where nobody can see it. Then one day it shoots up taller than you. That’s what real learning feels like. It is characterized by quiet roots and sudden growth. We loved that story. Plus, bamboo bends without breaking, and we think leaders should too.
Bam is our mascot. He is a curious little turtle who brings warmth and wisdom to our slides and workshops. In a fast-paced world, he reminds us to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and add a touch of playfulness to serious discussions. He stands for steadiness, adaptability, and wisdom, embodying our belief that leadership and learning are journeys taken one mindful step at a time.
We play them. Then we break them. Then we play again. Designing a program for us looks like sticky notes flying, people arguing over rules, and someone inevitably yelling “this doesn’t make sense!” If we don’t enjoy it ourselves, we don’t ship it.
GPS stands for Gamified, Personalised, Social. It’s how we make learning stick. Gamified: We sneak skills into games so you forget you’re “learning.” Personalised: No two people walk away with the same insight because no two journeys are the same. Social: We learn better together, so we bake in dialogue, debate, and laughs. Think of it as Google Maps for growth.
It’s messy, fun, and alive. We co-create with you. Lots of sticky notes, laughter, “what if” moments, and honest debates. You’ll see your fingerprints on every solution we deliver.
By never treating play as a gimmick. A farming game is secretly about strategy. A rocket game is really negotiation practice. A storytelling circle is rehearsal for boardrooms. Our games and tools are joyful on the surface, but they’re wired to rehearse real-world skills.

We don’t preach, we design. Our approach blends play, reflection, and practice into journeys that stick.
